艾曼妞，一部三级片能有多牛，它的出现，直接影响了其后几十年，直至今日的三级片风格，由艾曼妞衍生出来的电影也是数不胜数，最有名的衍生作品就是黑色艾曼妞系列，香港也拍摄的有艾曼妞电影。
电影选角
万事俱备，最难是，找谁人演艾曼妞？法国很多新星都不愿为这部片全裸演出，但要赶在泰国雨季前开拍的日期迫近，在最后关头，年仅廿一岁的模特儿施维亚·姬丝桃( Sylvia Kristel )出现在眼前。
姬丝桃曾在油站工作，其后在三部荷兰电视电影中担任配角，她透过经纪介绍，给导演贾斯·积坚在阿姆斯特丹试镜，当时她一边读台词，一边让上衣滑下露出乳房，贾斯．积坚立即选用她。
多年以后，姬丝桃忆述：「当时看到剧本，已了解到角色性格，所以做出让上衣滑下的举动。」事实证明，她是演艾曼妞的最佳人选。
连续放映
影片如期在泰国拍摄。那是1974年，当时泰国政府致力打击外国电影商在泰国拍摄色情电影。拍摄《艾曼妞》时，工作人员都小心翼翼，为了慎重起见，每日将拍好的菲林即日送返巴黎，但仍然「东窗事发」，拍到一半，所有工作人员被勒令离境，《艾曼妞》有一部分的拍摄，迫不得已在巴黎完成。1974年6月，《艾曼妞》推出，但当初只能在西班牙全面公映，反而在法国根据地，由于试映时劣评如潮，而且被列为X级，几经争取，只能放在一间戏院上映。
但奇迹出现，上映第一天已有一万五千九百观众在戏院排长龙，第二天更多，于是压不住了，戏院不断加入，令《艾曼妞》立即成为法国最成功的电影。
事后计数，这部电影竟然在Para France的一家电影院连续放影十年。连同法国在内，《艾曼妞》在全球八十六个国家上映，影带历年在法国卖三百五十万套，比《泰坦尼克号》( Titanic )还要多五十万。《艾曼妞》成为艾菲尔铁塔之外的另一法国标志。

Not happy stopping there, Emanuelle comes back to America and begins working undercover. This is probably the best of the D'Amato/Gemser Emanuelle movies but that's not saying too much. Unlike the other films in the series this one here at least manages to be entertaining without having to have a woman jerk off a horse as was seen in Emanuelle in America. This film here has a pretty interesting story and it moves along without too many boring spots. Needless to say there's a lot of sex scenes with Gemser taking on various men and women and these here are without a doubt the best scenes. D'Amato makes most of these very erotic, which is another thing missing from others in the series. I wouldn't say Gemser gives a good performance but she is comfortable in the role and you can't complain about seeing her naked throughout the film. The scenes in Africa are well shot and it's nice seeing some of the wildlife. Some of the American scenes were lifted from Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals but this just adds to some of the cheap fun. Original title: Via della prostituzione, La.
